RAY KIEREM, PRINCIPAL

​

The Principal is well rounded in areas of Corporate Controllership, Auditing, Business & Tax law. He most recently served as a Corporate Controller/CFO for five years at a multi-state, private corporation, along with its subsidiaries and holding companies with revenues exceeding over $50 million dollars.

Prior to this he was a proud member of the finance team while serving as the Director of Finance at Indiana University, Krannert Institute of Cardiology at Methodist Hospital where he management endowment funds in excess of $25 million dollars. In addition, he served as a Plant Controller/CFO at a family owned bakery with revenues reaching $11 million dollars. Prior to attaining industry experience,  he gained valuable experience at three different public accounting firms specializing in the areas of financial accounting, auditing and taxation of primarily small to medium sized businesses including not for profits.

He was instrumental in designing and implementing, internal controls, accounting policies and procedures  including hiring, development and management of the accounting team, banking relationships, loan covenants, annual financial statement audits and he also played a key role during IRS tax audits. Other areas overseen included Federal, state and local taxation, cash flow management, strategic tax planning, workers compensation, business development, and operations improvement.

Ray, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and attended Indiana University,  Master of Science in Taxation program at the Kelly School of Business. He also holds an MBA - Master of Business Administration with a focus in Accounting & Finance from Texas A&M University and a JD - Juris Doctorate from University of Illinois at Chicago, School of Law.
